Driving Single-Cell Discoveries: Pythia Biosciences Expands Support In Japan With GMO Academic Support & Technology

SAN DIEGO, CA, UNITED STATES, October 9, 2025 –– Pythia Biosciences and GMO Research Activity Support & Technology Ltd. today announced a partnership to bring the C-DIAM Multi-Omics Studio - a platform for single-cell and multi-omics data analysis - to scientists across Japan. This collaboration is set to strengthen cooperation between research teams and bridge the gap between dry-lab insights and wet-lab discoveries.

In recent years, groundbreaking results are expected in elucidating disease mechanisms and discovering drug targets through the integration and analysis of multiple omics data such as single-cell RNA-seq, spatial gene expression analysis, and proteomics. However, integrating and analyzing different omics data has presented challenges requiring high-performance server environments, advanced specialized knowledge, and enormous amounts of time.

Built upon the understanding of these struggles, C-DIAM Multi-Omics Studio is an innovative direct platform that can be quickly accessed via a web browser, and enables multi-omics integration analysis through intuitive operations. The platform tackles a wide range of omics data, including single-cell, spatial, and other omics data types (bulk RNA-seq, proteomics, and metabolomics). Users can integrate different types of omics data to cross-validate insights with their in-house experiment data.

GMO Research Activity Support & Technology has supported various projects related to single-cell analysis and spatial gene expression analysis using cutting-edge technologies for many university research laboratories and corporate clients in Japan, starting with research environment construction support. Under this partnership, GMO Research Activity Support & Technology will distribute and provide comprehensive hands-on support for the C-DIAM Multi-omics Studio to the Japanese scientific community, from tool onboarding and troubleshooting to interpretation of analysis results and publication of research outcomes. They will also offer customized analyses tailored to researchers’ specific objectives. This partnership, via the C-DIAM platform, hence aims to empower the Japanese scientific community with high-performance yet easy-to-use data analysis tools.
