Accelerating Single-Cell Discovery: Pythia and GeneX Launch C-DIAM Multi-Omics Studio in India

Accelerating Single-Cell Discovery: Pythia and GeneX Launch C-DIAM Multi-Omics Studio in India

SAN DIEGO, CA, UNITED STATES, November 27, 2025 –– Pythia Biosciences and GeneX India Bioscience today announced their collaboration that brings Pythia’s flagship single-cell data analysis platform, the C-DIAM Multi-Omics Studio, to the growing Indian scientific community. This partnership aims to advance next-generation single-cell omics research and empower the Indian scientific community with intuitive, high-performance data analysis tools.

With the rapid adoption of single-cell and spatial omics technologies, researchers must manage increasingly large and complex datasets that are difficult to integrate and interpret, and only a few platforms allow users to easily navigate them with an intuitive graphical interface. Also, few tools are available for scientists to explore public single-cell datasets and compare insights with their own experiments. Some tools either require advanced programming skills, lack collaboration and sharing features, or are unable to synthesize information across multiple datasets and omics layers.

To address these challenges, Pythia Biosciences has developed the C-DIAM Multi-omics Studio platform, an SaaS platform (no-installation needed) for multi-omics analysis. The web-based platform supports interactive analysis and integration across multiple omics layers, including single-cell RNA-seq, bulk RNA-seq, spatial transcriptomics, proteomics and metabolomics. Beyond analyzing individual datasets, users can merge insights across studies as well. With its intuitive interface, the platform suits scientists with no coding background while its huge curated database still offers full functionality and APIs are available for users who prefer the programmatic workflows.

“By combining our expertise with C-DIAM Multi-Omics Studio’s strong analytical power, GeneX India can expand access to innovative technologies and better support researchers.”

Felix Paul, Director at GeneX

Founded in 2004, GeneX has been a pioneering distributor of cell culture products, molecular diagnostics, and biotechnology research tools in India, serving both government research institutes and the biopharmaceutical industry. They are the official channel partner of 10x Genomics in India, responsible for both sales and the installation of 10x Genomics technologies. Their portfolio also includes emerging solutions such as real-time PCR applications and proteomics services. Through this collaboration, GeneX will provide implementation services, product introduction, onboarding, and local support for academic and pharmaceutical researchers. This partnership will help the Indian scientific community access modern analytical infrastructure without technical barriers, accelerating discoveries in immunology, oncology, neuroscience, and other key fields.

The C-DIAM Multi-Omics Studio platform has been developed with a strong emphasis on single-cell RNA-seq and spatial data analysis. Key functionalities include cell type prediction, differential expression (DE) analysis, sub-clustering, marker gene identification, pathway enrichment and workflows for target and biomarker discovery. That also includes integration with public or internally built pipelines and tools (like R shiny data visualization applications). In the latest update this year, C-DIAM now extends its features further by allowing users to explore gene expression patterns and identify DE genes across the entire database of Pythiomics, which includes approximately 126 million cells.

India has become one of the growing hubs of application of single-cell data analysis. “We are delighted to partner with GeneX and excited to see how our platforms can help accelerate and enhance personalized medicine research in this innovation-driven market.” Tristan Gill, CEO of Pythia Biosciences, commented.

Felix Paul, Director at GeneX, added: “By combining our expertise with C-DIAM Multi-Omics Studio’s strong analytical power, GeneX India can expand access to innovative technologies and better support researchers.”
